KANYE WEST OR "YEEZUS" WEST???

It's ludicrous to imagine that Kanye would actually use this artwork which surfaced online a few days ago as his official album cover with its already controversial YEEZUS title.
But given the antics of Mr. West, we cannot put it past him. Well, it's fingers crossed for now. The dude apparently won't stop at calling himself a god, now he also wants to be Jesus?

CYNTHIA OSOKOGU: NOT YET UHURU

KAREN FAYE SHARES MOMENTS ABOUT MJ's LAST DAYS: 'He was acting like a person I didn't recognise'

Karen Faye, Late Michael Jackson's make-up artist for 27 years shared details about the Late singer's last days. Michael seemed paranoid, speaking to himself and shivering from cold chills. Faye testified; "This is not the man I knew, he was acting like a person I didn't recognize".

She stated that Michael was indeed very excited about the show initially when the organizers of the show "AEG live" brought it to his knowledge. Faye had toured with Michael during his previous shows; Bad, Dangerous and History shows, hence the moment she knew about the 'This is it' concert's schedule she felt the timing was too short for Michael, considering his health and knew that he would need a lot more time to get in shape for the show as he was really thin and needed to put on some body mass and body muscle.

There were times when Michael refused to rehearse as he was stressing and put under series of pressure. He kept talking to himself and repeating same thing over and over again saying "why can't I choose". Faye grew deeply concerned and tried speaking to the concert director, Kenny Ortega and AEG Co. CEO, Paul Gongaware, about it, but they simply rebuffed her; Gongaware shouting that Michael be put back on stage to rehearse despite his reluctance. She was also told to do what they say and not what Michael wanted.

"Would you agree that the AEG show promoters are also guilty in the death of the late singer?"

NIGERIANS, ARE WE AT WAR???

Victor Ehikhamenor is a visual artist, photographer and writer. His writing has appeared in The New York Times, Washington Post, AGNI, and Premium Times. He is the author of the non-fiction book on Nigeria, "Excuse Me!" and is a resident of Nigeria and the U.S. Twitter: @victorsozaboy
(CNN) -- The corpse of another man's mother always looks like firewood from afar, so says an African proverb. Until recently, terrorism, war and the accompanying human carnage in far-away countries like Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria and many other troubled countries meant just more news of the crazy world out there. Not because of my lack of empathy, but distance can be a ready-made palliative for pain.
Now, that distant and macabre dance of death that once seemed so far away on TV has come upon my country, Nigeria, with a big bang.

Suicide bombing, towns and villages getting blown up, allegations of extra-judicial killings by the police and the military, kidnappings, terrorist attacks on government establishments -- total confusion and a lack of solutions to the violence is no longer just news, but a terrifying daily reality show.
In the current wave of violence, especially in the northern and middle belt of the country, which has culminated in President Goodluck Jonathan declaring a state of emergency in the three states of Adamawa, Borno and Yobe, one is at a loss as to where the country is headed in its near future.

ON GAY MARRIAGE

I would love to say I respect the human rights of people who are attracted to other people of the same sex but sadly, I can't help but express my sheer revulsion at the fact that we now flaunt our sins about and wear it on our faces as if the fact that we are weak is now morally right.
Oh well, no be say na me holy pass so I wish the newly wed couple everything they wish themselves.

WOOLWICH KILLER ARRESTED BEFORE IN KENYA

Woolwich suspect Michael Adebolajo came to the attention of MI5 after he appeared in court in Kenya on suspicion of planning to fight for a terrorist group.
Adebolajo was arrested with five others in November 2010. All were said to have been heading for neighbouring Somalia, where they had been recruited by Al-Shabaab, the Islamist insurgent organisation.
Adebolajo, who was filmed after the Woolwich slaughter with blood on his hands, was deported without being charged.
It was soon after his return to Britain, a close friend claims, that MI5 earmarked him as a potential  informant and began assiduously courting him.The Mail on Sunday has been told:
  •   Intelligence officers offered Adebolajo money and gave him a mobile phone;
  •   Adebolajo was asked to spy on a group of Muslims with links to Al Qaeda terrorists in Yemen;
  •   He resisted their attempts to ‘turn’ him and complained to lawyers he was being harassed.
An East London-based solicitor, who asked not to be named, said: ‘He came to see us last year. He raised serious concerns which are similar to ones we have heard before from others. He met a member of my team and discussed his case.

He complained that they [MI5] kept wanting to talk to him and his family. They kept coming round his family home and wanted to meet him regularly. We said if he wanted to deal with it properly, he should give us the number they [MI5] had given him and we would call them.

‘He was very paranoid about the whole thing. But he didn’t come back so we didn’t do anything else with him.’

It is understood that soon afterwards the contact with intelligence officers suddenly ceased.
Adebolajo’s links to the security services were first revealed on Friday on Twitter by one of his closest friends, Abu Nusaybah. Hours later, Nusaybah was arrested under the Terrorism Act just as he was finishing a pre-recorded interview for BBC Newsnight.

Earlier that day, Nusaybah, whose real name is Ibrahim Hassan, gave an interview to a Mail on Sunday reporter in which he made further claims about MI5 and Adebolajo.
‘They wanted him to spy on a group of Muslims who have links to Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula [AQAP]. They wanted information about them.’

AQAP, based in Yemen, has been called ‘the most active operational franchise’ of Al Qaeda beyond Pakistan and Afghanistan.

‘They offered him [Adebolajo] money and they gave him a special mobile phone to use when calling them,’ said Hassan. ‘They even took him in for interviews, just to intimidate him to work for them. But he refused.’

By the time Adebolajo arrived in Kenya in 2010, he was already deeply immersed in radical Islam and espousing extremist views.

Along with five Kenyan youths, he was picked up by local police on November 23 after spending the night in a guesthouse on Faza Island, part of the Lamu archipelago in the Indian Ocean close to the Somali border.

Principal magistrate Richard Kirui was told that all six men had been recruited to Al-Shabaab and intended to fight with them to bring down the country’s transitional government.

Al-Shabaab has imposed a strict version of Sharia law in the areas it controls, including stoning to death women accused of adultery.

In court, the youths claimed they had been given nothing to eat for two days and had been denied access to lawyers.

They had spent a night in police custody in Mombasa and were questioned by counter terrorism officers before being taken to court the next day. Adebolajo was fingerprinted and photographed and made a full statement.

After the order was made to deport Adebolajo, police officers accompanied him, handcuffed, in an unmarked police vehicle to Nairobi airport.

During the day-long drive, the vehicle was involved in a minor accident, and although no-one was injured the journey was delayed. That evening Adebolajo was put on the first available flight to London.

At this time he was living on a council estate in Greenwich, South East London, with girlfriend Rikki Thomas and her two children from a previous relationship.
The Mail on Sunday has learned that Thomas – arrested last week in a police raid on her Greenwich house and later released without charge – gave birth to the terror suspect’s son last year.

Neighbours yesterday recalled how 29-year-old Thomas wore mini-skirts and was a ‘bright lovely woman’ before meeting him six years ago and turning into someone who hardly left the house.

Odette Hamilton said: ‘Rikki began to dress more and more like a Muslim. Eventually she wore the whole burka.

‘When they walked down the street, he used to make her follow behind him, in subordination.’

WOMAN STABS SON WITH BROKEN BOTTLE FOR STEALING SOUP!

A 25 year old petty trader has been arrested by police in Ibeju Lekki for allegedly burning her 6 year old son's face for going into their neighbour's home and licking their soup.

Not only did Sakirat Attah burn her son's face with hot iron after the neighbour reported her son to her, she also used a broken bottle to stab young Daniel in the head. You can see the photo above. How you can do this to your own child is beyond me.

Sakirat took her son into their one room apartment after finding out what he did, locked the door, lit a stove, put an iron spoon on it to get hot and used it to burn his face and hands as punishment. And when that wasn't enough, she broke a bottle and stabbed him in the head, leaving a deep cut. Daniel later told police he stole the soup because he was hungry.

Neighbours who heard the little boy screaming for help entered the room and rescued him from the mother. They rushed him to the hospital and called the police on the mum.

Shakirat Attah has been charged before an Igbosere Magistrate’s Court in Lagos on a one count charge of assaulting a minor occasioning bodily harm. She's currently in Kirikiri Prison, pending when she  fulfills her bail conditions. I hope they take this child away from her.

FACE OF BRAVERY: WOMAN WHO CONFRONTED LONDON ATTACKER

Meet the Cub Scout leader and mother of two who was not afraid to confront the knife and meat cleaver wielding Adebolaja. Makes me wonder how the men on the scene felt allowing women take control like that. Her name is Ingrid Loyau-Kennet. Here's what she has to say.
'I saw a man on the road, obviously injured and a car badly crashed I assumed it was a road accident, although the car was funny on the pavement, it was not coming on the road,' she told ITV's Daybreak.

NIGERIAN MAN IDENTIFIED AS LONDON ATTACKER

It is with a heavy heart that I introduce to you the heretofore unknown London attacker in the person of Michael Mujaheed Adebolaja; a 20-year old British Nigerian! Adebolaja and his colleague hacked a serving British soldier to death near an army barracks in London yesterday.
Adebolaja is a Muslim convert who bears his Muslim name 'Mujaheed', which means one who fights jihad. In the past few weeks he went about preaching the word of God and yesterday he was filmed by an onlooker and broadcasted by Britain's ITV news channel with hands covered in blood and holding a bloodied knife praising God for the murder.

LONDON ATTACKER ON VIDEO

Now, this is the kind of sick shit(forgive my language) we actually expect to see in Europe and America; there were everything is rationalized, every action nuanced, placed within the context of cause and effect. One often wonders why serial killers are justifiable or at least excusable for their bad behavior because of some dysfunctional childhood or parental abuse/neglect. When a man, or two men in this case, decides to hack another human being to death as if he were some useless piece of meat, such a man should be categorized for what he is: A MURDERER. He should not be allowed to explain what he had gone through during childhood or what his "people" are going through in the hands of soldiers fighting terrorism in his country or whatever.

Odozi laid half-naked on a road in the court shouting, “Hunger, hunger. Government must do something today. I have not received anything from the plenty crude oil money government is spending in our state. Nigerians are wicked.”
She impeded movement on the premises. Passersby were astonished. One of them, who did not state her name but said she was a lawyer, told our correspondent that Odozi abused the “temple of womanhood.”

THE EXODUS OF 2,000 FROM BOKO HARAM TORN BORNO STATE

More than 2,000 Nigerians living in border villages in Borno State have reportedly fled as a result of the ongoing military operations targeted at routing insurgents from the area under the emergency rule.
The fleeing villagers were said to have headed to the neighbouring Niger Republic.
“Most of the residents of border villages of Borno have fled to Niger. About 2,000 people from Abadan, Malam Fatori and other villages are now refugees in Difa, Niger Republic,” a top security officer told one of our correspondents on Sunday.
The source said that the Joint Military Task Force was on the trail of members of the Boko Haram sect, who were dislodged from the Sambisa Game Reserve and other camps on Thursday in Borno State.
It was learnt that residents of Maiduguri and other communities far from the border, who did not want to be caught in the cross-fire had also fled to some neighbouring states, including Kano and Bauchi
May God help deliver us from this Boko Haram menace.

A WOMAN'S DREAM MAN!

Recently, I was talking to a friend, and I asked her why she is not paying attention to any admirer, and she said the most fascinating thing. She said prize I pay attention to little details. For example, can you imagine that I walked with a certain guy (I won’t mention his name) from the gate to my destination, and he could not even offer to help me carry what I was holding. She also went on to explain why she does not like to wear short clothing, or tight things, because some guys look at her lustfully. Some even lust while she is properly dressed. And then she rounded off by saying, I don’t want a stingy, uncaring and insensitive man. I know a lot of ladies who feel the same way. Now this issue of being a gallant man may not appeal to you as a man, because somewhere along the line, a mother forgot to teach her son how to treat ladies, forgot to teach her son how to treat his sisters, and so on.  Or maybe you just do not realize how important it is to the female gender to be treated as a lady/woman.

Now guys pay attention because I am about to break it down for you. Here is what I think a lot of women tag as their dream man.

TALK LESS ACT MORE!!

check out prizearowolo.blogspot.com

One thing I have realized is, how easy it is to talk. Some people even say" talk is cheap". Yes talk is cheap, in the sense that everyone can afford it. You can say things how you want, and when you want. The truth is most people spend so much time talking, when they should be spending that time acting out what they have said. It’s common knowledge that at the beginning of the year, a lot of people make resolutions and say or even write out a number of things they would love to achieve during the year, but as time goes on, the zeal or motivation reduces, and once again they are left with talk but no action.
Not too long ago, I was having a conversation with a certain friend of mine, and i decided to "TALK" and share some of my plans. And then he said, you have so many beautiful ideas prize, and I've been hearing about them for quite some time now, but that is where it ends. And then the next time i see you, you talk about something new. After thinking about it, i realized it was true and i made a conscious effort to change it.

Now I’ll give you hints on how I've been able to turn my "TALK" into "ACTION".
1) The first and most important point is, TALK LESS ABOUT THE PLAN, AND ACT MORE!
2) Execute one plan at a time, DO NOT START AND STOP HALF WAY, DO NOT STOP TILL IT IS EXECUTED.
3) Learn to keep yourself motivated. REMIND YOURSELF THAT YOU CAN DO IT AND YOU WILL DO IT.
4) Shun every distraction and have a concrete plan. AVOID PEOPLE WHO TELL YOU IT IS NOT POSSIBLE.
5) Involve God and trust in him to direct you and make a way for you. GOD FIRST!

Now with that said, I’d like to also point out or highlight some factors that keep a lot of people talking and not acting.
1) FEAR OF WHAT PEOPLE WOULD SAY, AND HOW THEY WOULD REACT. Countless times, this holds people back. If you are sure and have prayed about the next step you want to take, go ahead and take that step. Besides, human beings are so fickle-minded. Today they feel one way about something, and tomorrow it changes. I am not saying ignore words of wisdom and advice from people, all I am saying is, do not let idle talk or negativity keep you down!
2) FEAR OF FAILURE. This has and is still hindering a lot of people from setting out to act and work on their dream. They believe it’s okay to remain where they are because it’s safe, and taking a chance is just too much to handle. And what if it doesn't work they say to themselves. Well I ask and what if it does work? So take a chance. If it fails try again. Don't give up on yourself.
3) EXCUSES, LAZINESS, AND PROCRASTINATION. Stop making excuses. If you need to get something done, get it done, don't spend time talking and making excuses. Don't be lazy about it and don't procrastinate. Do it now and get it over with!

DON'T DO IT TOMORROW IF YOU CAN DO IT TODAY! TALK LESS AND ACT MORE! HAVE A LOVELY WEEK FRIENDS!

ANCIENT TREE'S MYSTERIOUS FALL KILLS OVER 50 PEOPLE

An ancient tree believed to be a tree of the gods fell on Thursday May 16th, killing over 50 people at Umudagu Mbieri, Mbaitoli in Imo State. The Osisi Ukwu Uko, which has been in existence for over 200 years, fell during heavy rainstorm around 8pm Thursday night, collapsing on buildings, people selling their wares and customers buying good in a market under the tree. Those who didn't die lost body parts and are being treated at the hospital.

People in the community had for many years called for the removal of the tree over safety concerns but the community elders refused to chop the tree down arguing that it was an  ancestral landmark.

Some people in the village are speculating that the gods occupying the tree were angry with the villages over something and decided to strike.

FOR CHRIS BROWN AND RIRI, IT'S ON!

The latest Chris Brown-Rihanna split was confirmed by the R&B star, who said earlier in the week that "Im'ma do it solo" but didn't really get into why.
From the looks of their social media accounts, there may be some lingering bitterness on both sides, not just drifting apart because of long distance, etc.
You don't have to read between the lines too aggressively when Rihanna, shortly after the split, goes and posts an Instagram image like this one:

NIGERIAN YOUTHS TAKE NOTE! WE ARE THE FUTURE!!!

We cannot continue to sit on the fence, we cannot pretend not to care when the harsh realities of a failed state stare us in the face. We are responsible for our generation, therefore, we should not continue to allow the current breed of expired politicians to dominate our world. It is ours, not theirs.
January 1966, the five majors started a military revolution that lasted decades. They didn't know the consequences of their actions, the pogrom that their ill thought out coup d'etat would elicit, but they did it with good intentions, with the spirit of true federalism.
Now we don't have to toe that line, as a lady and as a human being, I believe that violence is certainly never the way out! But we do need a revolution, one even more powerful and succesful than the admirable Occupy Nigeria protests that swept our motherland in the wake of fuel subsidy removal and subsequent hike in price of petrol.

BREEZY & RIRI AGAIN!!!

Chris Brown confirmed the break up in an interview with Kyle and Jackie O explaining,
“The way I look at it is… I’m always going to love that person, but people have differences, and people have different wants and needs.”
“At the end of the day she’s a young girl. I can’t really be focused on wife-ing somebody that young… and I’m young too.”
“I just got to step forward and be a man and be the best Chris Brown I can be instead of worrying about whoever else is going to be in my side pocket.”
Hmmm, I really don't know what else to think of this two. They really should move on!!!

SAD! TWO NAF PILOTS DIE IN PLANE CRASH

Air Commodore Yusuf Anas, spokesman for the Nigerian Air Force, said the plane was an Alpha jet stationed in Niger as part of a Nigerian squadron supporting the mission in Mali.
"An investigation is going on to find out what happened. They were on a normal routine flight about 60 km (37 miles) west of Niamey when something happened," Anas told Reuters.
Asked if there was any evidence of anti-aircraft fire, he said: "We don't know but it was inside Nigerien territory."
A Niger security source said the jet crashed near Dargol in the Tillabery region which borders Mali.
"The plane was not shot at. It was not in enemy territory so for now we are looking at maybe a mechanical problem," another security official from Niger, who asked not to be identified, said.
